Ryde Last Mile

Last-mile capacity for logistics operators, on terms we put in writing

Ryde runs a last-mile parcel network in the United States and the Dominican Republic: 60 hubs, 50 zones and a published price per stop. Sign up online, pick your zones, and get an API key the same day. GPS-tracked drivers, a signed status feed to your systems, and proof on every delivery.

Built for the last mile that goes wrong

Operators lose customers on the final kilometre, not in the warehouse. These are the three failures we are hired to fix.

Failed attempts

The driver waits ten minutes and leaves. On a Ryde pilot the recipient is called or messaged before the driver arrives, and a missed stop follows the retry rule we agree with you instead of going straight back to the depot.

No proof

On a Ryde pilot every stop closes with a photo taken by the driver and the name of the person who received the parcel. Our dispatch desk collects both, and they go into your daily report.

Parcels that go quiet

Every Ryde driver is GPS-tracked while on a job. Our dispatch desk can tell you where a parcel is at any point in the day, the recipient has a tracking page for their own parcel, and your account lists every parcel you have given us with where each one is right now.

Four questions decide who gets the contract

A marketplace router does not read a sales deck. It asks four things of every carrier, and sends the parcel to whoever answers best. Here is how the last mile is usually bought, and how Ryde answers.

The question How the last mile is usually bought Ryde Last Mile
Do you cover this postcode, and at what price? You email a representative and wait for a spreadsheet. By the time it comes back the parcel has been routed to somebody else. One call answers it. Coverage, the service levels sold there and the price per stop come back from the same request a router already makes to every other carrier. No human in the loop, no waiting.Live
Will every tool agree on where the parcel is? A tracking page, a nightly file and a status feed that each say something slightly different, so the seller's tool and the marketplace disagree in front of the customer. One table feeds all of it. The public tracking page, the signed push to your systems and the mapping a tracking aggregator is given all read the same statuses, so they cannot drift apart. The push is signed and arrives in seconds, not overnight.Live
Can you prove a delivery months later? A photograph in an app, sometimes, with no way to show it was taken at that door or that nobody edited it afterwards. An evidentiary record on every stop. The photograph, the name of the person who took the parcel, the GPS fix, the clock on the driver's phone, our own server clock, and a fingerprint of the image itself. That is what settles a dispute, and it is why we record all six rather than just the picture.Live
What happens to cash collected at the door? A spreadsheet and a phone call at the end of the week. Nobody can say what is in a driver's bag right now, and the shortfalls are found a month later. Cash is on a ledger, in its own currency. Money a driver takes at the door is held against them from the moment they take it, capped so no one carries more of your money than agreed, and counted at the counter against what they are actually holding. Every peso is on a record that cannot be edited afterwards.Live for our own network

We are not claiming a cheaper driver. Contractor economics are the same for everyone in this market. The difference is what a buyer can automate, audit and prove.

Do your drivers collect cash at the door?

Only when your contract calls for it. Cash a driver collects is reconciled every day, driver by driver, and the total is in your daily report.

Which cities do you cover?

In the United States, 49 delivery zones across 19 states covering 1,833 ZIP codes, served from 50 hubs. In the Dominican Republic, Santo Domingo, served from 10 hubs. The coverage API answers for any postcode; if yours is not covered yet, tell us in the sign-up and we record the demand.

How fast can I start?

Most accounts are approved the same day you sign up online: you pick your zones, see the price per stop, sign the Carrier Agreement and get an API key. Very large shippers are routed to a Ryde account lead for a contract.
